Compassionate, nursing-home-level care, delivered right at home

Home is more than a place. It’s the routines, relationships and small moments that define daily living. Baywood provides RN-led home care for the most complex patient needs. We help people stay safe and supported, right where they belong: at home.

Complete person care

Living fully means keeping the things that are important to us. Baywood supports physical health, emotional well-being, routines and preferences, so that daily life can continue with dignity and comfort.

Provider match

The right caregiver makes all the difference. At Baywood, thoughtful provider matching is built into how we care. We pair clients with caregivers based on needs, personality and preferences, not just availability. The result is care that feels familiar, not transactional, with some caregivers supporting the same client for many years.

Complex home care providers

Baywood’s care is guided by registered nurses who oversee each plan, including administering medications, and adapt support as needs change. It’s expert care delivered with compassion, right where life already happens.

FAQs

How do we know what level of care is needed?2026-02-24T13:10:49-06:00

Our registered nurses help assess needs and guide care planning. We’ll talk through concerns, answer questions, and recommend appropriate support so families can move forward with confidence.

Will we have the same caregivers each time?2026-02-24T13:10:08-06:00

Consistency is a priority at Baywood. We provide familiar caregivers (usually two, who rotate), building trust and continuity so care feels personal rather than transactional. Caregivers often become extensions of the client’s family and some support the same client for many years, even as care needs evolve.

How is Baywood different from other home care services?2026-02-24T13:09:30-06:00

Many home care providers focus primarily on companionship. Baywood delivers RN-led care that supports both medical and daily living needs, including medication support, bathing and transfers, memory care, and more—along with meaningful companionship. Our nurse-led approach allows families to receive higher-level care at home, with consistency, oversight and compassion.

Can people who need nursing home care really live at home?2026-02-24T13:08:52-06:00

In many cases, yes. With a thoughtfully designed home care plan and nurse-led oversight, people who might otherwise consider a nursing home can safely remain at home—which, in many cases, is often the best place for healing and thriving. Baywood provides personalized support that adapts as needs change, helping preserve independence, dignity and comfort in familiar surroundings.

Why do many families choose home care instead of assisted living?2026-02-24T13:08:03-06:00

For many people, home care allows life to continue with less disruption. Remaining at home means keeping familiar routines, personal preferences, neighbors, faith communities, and daily rhythms that provide comfort and stability. Care is delivered where life already happens, rather than requiring a move to a new environment.

Home care can also be more flexible. Support can start gradually and adjust as needs change, without paying for services that aren’t needed. Families often appreciate that care is personalized, consistent and built around the individual—not a schedule shared with many others.

In many cases, home care provides the support people need while preserving independence, dignity and the sense of “normal” that matters deeply during times of change.

Does home care cost more than assisted living or a nursing home?2026-02-24T13:07:01-06:00

In many cases, in-home care can cost less than full-time assisted living or nursing home care, especially when support is needed only a few hours a day. Costs vary depending on the type and amount of care required. Baywood offers flexible options, including hourly and live-in care, and we’ll walk through pricing clearly once we understand your needs. In most situations, services can begin within 24 hours.

When is the right time for home care?2026-02-24T12:59:59-06:00

There isn’t one single “right time” for everyone. Many families begin home care after a change, like a fall, hospital stay, new diagnosis or when everyday tasks start to feel overwhelming. Others start earlier, adding support gradually to stay ahead of bigger challenges or a potential accident. Support can begin with just a few hours a week and expand as needs change.

If you’re noticing increased worry, exhaustion or safety concerns, it may be a good time to explore care options. Baywood’s nurse-led approach allows care to evolve over time.

Rod, Wayzata

“We all want to thank you so much for bringing help and comfort to our mother. You all are remarkable women. The level of compassion, humor, and skill with what you do brings life easier to many people. Again thank you so much.”

Vince, Dell, Jerry & Jim, Maple Wood
“I wanted you to know how much we appreciated the care you gave to Joyce and how you supported us, the family as well. We could not have provided this kind of care to Mom without your help, and the personal care of our Baywood aides. I am so glad you told us about the option to have a live-in person. You are all angels! Thanks again from all of our family.”
Linda, New Brighton

“Thank you so much for all the good years of care for my uncle. He was so happy to be in his home and all of you made that possible.”

Mary, Albert Lea
“Mere words can hardly express my gratitude to you and your staff for their competent care and compassion during the time my father was receiving care at home. Your staff were our support and comfort. We lacked nothing. I will always remember all of you in my heart, especially Vilta who was so good with my father, even getting him to smile and the best roommate ever.”
Connie, Plymouth

“I’m writing a note to express our great satisfaction with Gloria’s work with my mother. She has been so kind and encouraging. She works hard to serve the client. She obviously is working for “mom”, not just to collect a paycheck. The whole bunch of us ‘kids’ have been so appreciative of your service.”

John, Dave & Gary, Minneapolis

“Please know that ‘Tammy’ is just wonderful. She has been a true gift for our family.”

Maureen, Minneapolis
“Just a note of thanks for Faith, who was here helping our family at a very hard time. We had a chaotic home hospice situation when she first got here and she helped us comfort and care for our Dad until the end. She stayed and helped care for our Mom then, and Mom felt very good with her.”
John, Minneapolis

“We are writing to let you know how pleased we were with the care given to our aunt by your employees, Ellen and Julia. Their attention to detail and their kindness and gentleness was appreciated by all of us who visited and certainly by our aunt, who was in pain at the end. We were glad that she had these two regular caregivers, and we believe she came to know and trust them. We also appreciated your nurse, Judy, who carefully evaluated our aunt’s needs, and she was very pleasant to work with, also.”

Mark & Jane, Minneapolis

“Thank you for your care, concern, and support of my father. His life was SO much better because of your service and your demonstration of what “value” really means in delivering that service. I cannot think of my dad without thinking of Baywood and how you improved, and even increased, his life.”
