Dorothy Muffett, founder and President of Baywood Home Care in Minnesota, explains that private pay home care is a good option for people who need long-term care. “There are a lot of older people who want to continue living in their home. They don’t want to move to an assisted living or a nursing home. We make staying at home possible. None of our clients could be in their current living situation without our services.”

That victory can be attributed to our extremely good reputation for providing personalized services, and our high hiring standards. We have a very detailed employment test, which applicants working for our competitors frequently can’t pass. That higher bar is evident in the care we provide our clients.”

Muffett stresses that home care must work for both her clients and their families. “From the registered nurses who manage the clients’ care, to the front line home health aides working in the homes, we actually make people’s lives better every day.”
